Taekwondo as a Parent – Week 4

Very clear difference between a kid and an adult doing this martial art:
My son walks off after practice as if nothing happened. Meanwhile, my crotch and hamstring area burns from all the stretching and kicking. I don’t know how you succeed in taekwondo without eventually being able to do the splits.
And I’m not talking about the front split. I’m talking about full-on legs-at-each-side-of-you Chinese splits. Kids are just more flexible. I’ll get there too, though, with practice.
